FileGrant lets law firms share case files, contracts and legal documents with clients and counterparties using persistent encryption, with a full audit trail and per-recipient access control.
Persistent encryption: the file stays protected even after download
Full audit trail on every access, view and download
Revoke access to a shared document at any time, even after sharing
GDPR compliance and bar association data protection obligations
The legal industry is increasingly in the crosshairs. Cyberattacks are on the rise, and nearly half of law firms have already been affected. Hackers are targeting extremely sensitive data - personal, financial, and corporate.

A compromised firm does not just lose data: it loses client trust. FileGrant encrypts every document at creation and allows access to be revoked at any time, even after the recipient has downloaded the file.
Attackers now use AI to craft phishing emails referencing real cases and real clients. RemoteGrant applies anti-phishing controls at the endpoint, blocking malicious attachments before they reach attorneys, even offline.
Encrypting in transit is not enough: once downloaded, the document is exposed. FileGrant's Lock&Go keeps files encrypted after download using CRYSTALS-Kyber (NIST FIPS 203, August 2024), the post-quantum standard selected by NIST. Only authorized users can open the file, regardless of where it ends up.
Ransomware targeting law firms first exfiltrates files, then encrypts them: public disclosure is the real leverage. RemoteGrant blocks both steps with endpoint DLP and persistent file encryption. Read why stolen data stays readable.
Controlling access to a case file means seeing in real time who opened it, when and from which device, and being able to revoke it the moment the situation changes. FileGrant applies role-based access control and an immutable audit trail to every document.
GDPR Art. 32, CNF professional rules and NIS2 (operational measures due October 2026) all require encryption, access control and audit logs. FileGrant covers all three. See NIS2-compliant file sharing criteria.

FileGrant encrypts every document at creation using CRYSTALS-Kyber (NIST FIPS 203, August 2024), the post-quantum standard published by NIST. The encryption persists through transfer, download and storage on the recipient's device. Revoking authorization makes the document unreadable for anyone, immediately and without file retrieval.
Yes. FileGrant manages access independently of the physical file copy. When authorization is revoked, the recipient immediately loses the ability to open the document, even if already downloaded. The number of existing copies is irrelevant.
Attackers collect encrypted data today to decrypt it once quantum computing matures: this is the "harvest now, decrypt later" strategy. FileGrant uses CRYSTALS-Kyber (NIST FIPS 203, August 2024): documents encrypted now will remain protected even as the threat evolves. For case files with a 10 to 20-year life cycle, this is not a future consideration.
AIGrant provides a private on-premise AI instance. Attorneys use AI for research and summarization without any file leaving the firm's network: no data is sent to OpenAI, Google or other public cloud services. IBM's 2025 report found shadow AI adds USD 670,000 to breach costs.
Yes. FileGrant works alongside existing systems, not as a replacement, with integration for Microsoft 365 and the DMS platforms common in law firms. Encryption and access control are applied at the file level, independently of the platform. No infrastructure migration is needed.
GDPR Article 32 specifically cites encryption, access control logs and audit trails for personal data handling. CNF rules add professional confidentiality obligations, and NIS2 requires operational measures by October 2026. FileGrant covers all three with quantum-safe encryption, RBAC and an immutable audit trail.
A Virtual Data Room (VDR) is an encrypted environment for sharing confidential documents with counterparties, advisors and investors during a transaction. FileGrant creates white-label VDRs branded with the firm's identity: each participant sees only authorized documents, every access is logged, and the room closes in a single operation. See the M&A advisory case study.
