What are FileGrant's AI features and how do I turn them on? FileGrant has three built-in AI tools: AI Classification, AI Summary, and Document Chat. Here's what each one does and how to activate them.

FileGrant integrates three AI tools directly in the interface. They don't require any external applications — your document never leaves the platform.

 

Feature

What it does

AI Classification

Analyzes the document's content and automatically applies one or more tags based on rules configured by your admin through AIGrant.

AI Summary

Generates a text summary of the document. You can also ask a specific question about the content and get a focused answer.

Document Chat

Lets you ask questions about the file's content in plain language and get answers in real time.

 

How to activate AI features on a document

  1. Select the document in your File or Received area.
  2. Right-click, or click the ⋮ menu next to the file.
  3. Select AIGrant from the context menu.
  4. Choose a feature: AI Classification, AI Summary, or Document Chat. 

 AI features are only available if your administrator has enabled them. If AIGrant doesn't appear in the menu, the feature is not active for your account.
