How does AI Classification work in FileGrant?
The AIGrant agent reads your document and automatically assigns tags based on its content — which may trigger security restrictions on the file.
AI Classification analyzes the document and automatically applies one or more tags, based on rules defined by AIGrant agents set up by your admin.
How it works
- Select the document → ⋮ menu → AIGrant → AI Classification.
- The agent analyzes the file's content.
- If the document matches configured rules, the appropriate tags are applied.
- Tags become visible in the interface next to the file.
What the applied tags do
Tags assigned by AI Classification carry the same weight as manual tags. They can trigger security restrictions, for example:
- block the file from being downloaded
- force the file to open only via the desktop app (Anti-Capture mode)
- make the file invisible to certain recipients
Who can use it
Only file owners: users with the Super Admin, Admin, or Contributor role. It's not available to recipients with Read-Only access or users with the Reader role.
Classification rules are configured by your admin in the AIGrant platform. You can't change them as a user. If you think a classification is incorrect, contact your administrator.
